About Chantilly House
The Cummings’ historic Chantilly house is one of the oldest homes on Lake Burton and was built with centuries-old remains from log cabins around the area. It was named Chantilly because it was pieced together bit by bit over time, similar to how chantilly lace is made. Chantilly was originally built as a one-room log cabin and grew during the 1940s to become a 15-room house, constructed over several years from the remains of dozens of century-old log cabins that the original family owned throughout the mountain region. The impeccable craftsmanship and original unique details remain today, and it’s a gem that we hope you’ll enjoy!
